U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funds are received locally through the State of Washington Community Trade and Economic Development Department to deliver the HOME Tenant Based Assistance (TBA) program in Klickitat and Skamania Counties..
The HOME TBRA program is designed to aid those households who have urgent housing needs for a variety of reasons such as illness, job loss or permanent disability. Eligible households may receive Tenant Based Rental Assistance for a limited period of time to help stabilize their living situation. A key component of the HOME TBRA program is case management that links participating families with appropriate services to help them achieve a greater level of independence..
Eligible clients are individuals or families whose incomes are at or below 50% of the median household income (as determined by HUD) for the county where the program is located and is in one of the following targeted groups: Farmworkers, Foster Children in Transition, Homeless, Homeless Families with Children, Pregnant or Parenting Youth,
